| Established in 2004, Schools for India is a non-profit charitable organization. Schools for India has been registered under the Indian Charitable Trust Act in December 2005. Registered as Public Charitable Trust under Section 12AA of the Income Tax Act,1961. Deductions in respect of donations to Schools for India will be allowed under Section 80 G of the Income Tax Act, 1961 in the hands of the donors. Objective: Schools for India has been started with the aim of building and running schools with the best -in-class infrastructure for the rural poor in India. |

| The Source Intervention philosophy To provide the maximum possible resources at the source of the issues, to overcome them is called Source Intervention. Schools for India will provide the best infrastructure for people to send their children to school, there by ensuring higher attendance, so that migration to towns and cities are avoided. The 8 petals in the Schools for India logo represents the eight directions in which the projects will be executed. It means, we will tackle, Poverty, Inequality, Illiteracy, Child Labor, Female Persecution, Intolerance, Migration to cities, and Pollution by educating the people, and they, once educated will be enlightened and this will empower them to overcome all the obstacles to progress. |
