Finish Point: Mayajaal- U turn after 75 KM towards Pondycherry
Distance: 150 KM

Event Brief:

As a part of the commencement of the pilot project, Schools for India is conducting the International Cycle Race on the East
Coast Road on the 19th January 2007. Over 150 cyclist from across the country and from abroad are being invited for the
same.

Participant cyclists will be registered members of International, National and Regional cycling federations.
Registration by invitation only.

Rules and Regulations:

•        Rally Type: Men Individual / Women Individual
•        Participants to bring their own cycles and gear
•        First 150 registrations only (Open to Men and Women)
•        Outstation candidates have to reach Chennai latest by 0600hrs on 18th January 2007. No travel and accommodation
will be provided.  
•        Registration Fee: By invitation
•        Prize Money: Men: I place: USD $5000, Runner up prizes – 8 prizes @ USD $1000 each
         Women: I place: USD $5000, Runner up prizes – 8 prizes @ USD $1000 each

•        All registrations with the registration fee shall be sent along with the application on or before 6 January 2007.
Registrations received after the 6 January 2007 will not entertained.
•        The familiarization tour will be conducted on 18th January 2007 from 9 AM to 12 Noon.
•        Boarding and Lodging for all the participants will be provided.

All teams must reach on 17th January 2007 by 12 Midnight; transportation would be arranged from the Chennai Central and
Chennai Airport to the hotel directly. Please indicate your travel plans well in advance.

Please send two passport size photographs along with your registration so that the ID cards could be prepared.

The refreshments would be served along the route in refreshment bays located at every 10 KM. Packed lunch and other
refreshments would also be provided to the participants and officials.

The weather is expected to be normal around 28 to 32 Deg C.

The opening ceremony will be conducted at 6:55 AM on 19th January 2007.
